Announcing Travel Massive Forum 2020 in Berlin

We’re launching our own global event. Join us in Berlin in 2020, March 6.

🌍 In 2020, we’re bringing our global community together in one place, under one roof — creating a platform to champion and showcase the brightest ideas from Travel Massive members to the world. Here’s how you can be a part of it.

Why we’re hosting our own global event

Travel Massive has always been about connecting people and sharing ideas.

We’re creating Travel Massive Forum as a way for our members around the world to meet in person, exchange knowledge, and build new connections.

Every year in March, Berlin becomes the global epicentre of the travel industry, playing host to ITB Berlin, Berlin Travel Festival and dozens of association gatherings.

In 2020, Travel Massive Forum will showcase future leaders and forward-thinking ideas from our community in a modern event format featuring a separate half-day forum and members networking evening.

Travel Massive Forum is for anyone, and everyone, creating the future of travel.

The Anti-Conference: Travel Massive Forum

Our half-day forum to explore new ideas and hear from innovators and leaders in the Travel Massive community that are creating change at scale, and who have a story to tell.

Unlike a traditional conference, we’ve designed Travel Massive Forum to cut across the verticals of travel and connect the whole spectrum of the travel industry ecosystem.

This means we’re not going to be a conference for ‘travel startups raising billions’, or ‘tours and activities platforms crushing operators’ — instead we’re creating a forum to explore the travel industry from the many different perspectives that connect all parts of travel. Refreshing, right?

The Forum will be hosted on Friday March 6 at the Berlin Travel Festival — a modern travel industry event that showcases emerging and sustainable travel brands to over 11,000 visitors.

The Forum Agenda

We’re going to focus on the ideas, challenges, and achievements that are creating the future of travel – from real innovators and creators in our community who’ve done it.

We’ll be dividing the half-day into three main sessions:

  • Future Leaders – stories of success and failure from leaders with a vision.
  • Power of Community – how people with a purpose are creating change at scale.
  • Change the World – bold ideas that are creating local and global impacts.

Designing an inclusive industry forum

We’ve considered what matters most for our community, and designed the Forum around the following inclusive principles:

  • The anti-conference. Accessible, for everyone.
  • Zebras, not unicorns. For the 99%, not the 1%.
  • Focus on purpose. Less blah blah, and more boom boom.

We’re also making the speaker talks short, so that more people have an opportunity to present their ideas in a faster-paced, story-telling format.

And we’re going to live-stream the entire Forum on Travel Massive LIVE so that ideas are broadcast to everyone in our community, no matter where they are.

Call for Speakers: How to get involved

Are you making an impact in leadership or community building? Have you created change (big, or small) in the tourism industry? Apply to be a speaker and share your story.

How to get tickets, and plan for Berlin

Get a ticket to Berlin Travel Festival or ITB Berlin and gain access to the Forum:

We recommend to plan your stay for a week (2 – 8 March), so you can attend multiple events, explore the city, and visit some after-parties. Berlin is an international city. It’s unconventional and fun!

Book your hotel now. Popular hotels sell out by February. Book directly with the hotel to avoid the city tax, if you’re travelling for business.

The Forum will take place at Arena Berlin (Berlin Travel Festival) which is in Treptow district. Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Neukölln are also nearby districts.

Other events as part of our Forum include a Chapter Leaders Dinner and a Forum After-Party.

— See you in Berlin, 2020!
