Travel Massive Lisbon Kickstarts 2020

In January, Lisbon Travel Massive got together at Mundo do Vino – a wine bar in Lisbon still slightly off the tourist path, to welcome the new year and a new decade.

This event recap is from Sandra Henriques – Lisbon Travel Massive leader, travel blogger and freelance writer. She runs Tripper, a travel blog on sustainability and culture, where she frequently writes about her two “homes” and top travel destinations, Lisbon and the Azores Islands.

Kicking off 2020

We welcomed newcomers Oli Russell-Cowan and Anaïs Skoutariotis and all-time regulars Wendy, Bruno Fonseca, Mindi and Daryl Hirsch. We got a chance to say hello again to Kristina Palovicova, the co-founder of Secret City Trails who have already sponsored two Travel Massive events in Lisbon (and are rapidly growing as a company, with games all over Europe).

We also reconnected with Bernardo Reis, a Travel Massive member who was at the very first Lisbon Travel Massive event. Time flies by when we’re all together as a big family.

Networking in Lisbon

At this event, we realized that most of the members there had partnered professionally with other Travel Massive members after meeting each other at an event. It was like playing “six degrees of separation” but without Kevin Bacon!
